Target & processing

A swirling cloud of gas and dust in the heart of the Cygnus constellation, the Flying Dragon Nebula showcases vibrant hues of purple and pink. This H II region is a remnant of a long-dead star's life cycle, now home to new stellar nurseries. Located near the bright star Deneb, it stretches across nearly 1 degree of sky. About 3,849 light-years from Earth, its celestial beauty remains a constant in the ever-changing cosmos.

This target is also a challenging one in Bortle 9, as the Ha is very faint. I also noticed some SII signal, but after processing, I realized that Ha and SII signals are very similar.

I processed this image with a HSS palette to leverage the signal in SII too.

Note to self

I will probably keep adding signal to this target, but maybe just focus on the Ha, as they are both very similar.
