IC 63 — The Ghost of Cassiopeia

A diffuse, wispy cloud of gas and dust, reminiscent of the ghostly outline of Cassiopeia's 'W' shape in the night sky. This emission nebula is one of the many born from the collapse of a massive star in the constellation Cassiopeia. IC 63 is situated near the northern edge of the constellation Cassiopeia's 'W' shape, where the faint outline of this H II region meets the starry sky.
A new acquisition and processing, although I'm still not satisfied.
Also, the very bright star make it relatively challenging to process.
A bit more acquisition time that the first attempt, but still not enough to my taste. Given the new tools in PixInsight to deal with light pollution (e.g. Multiscale Gradient Correction), I'm less reluctant to do broadband imaging from a Bortle 9 sky. I will come back to this one someday, until I'm 100% satisfied with it.
