Target & processing

The Veil Nebula, NGC 6960, appears as a glowing, ethereal expanse of gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus. This is an emission nebula, formed when stars have ended their lives and expelled elements into space. Located in the north celestial hemisphere, it can be seen in the summer sky, near the bright star Deneb. At approximately 1,470 light-years away, this region of interstellar gas remains a site of ongoing cosmic evolution.

Note to self

I really liked this image at that time, but with more experience, I know how much better it could be with more integration time. It would be exciting to re-do this target.
